Creating Access to
Distance Learning Experiences for ALL

When we began planning this new initiative, our first project was not on anyone’s radar. But with the arrival of COVID-19 and remote learning for millions of students, the parent voices of our most vulnerable students rallied us into action. The result is a four-part video series of stories from six families with elementary, middle, and high school-aged children. This series highlights practices grounded in research and includes insights from researchers, parents, students, and both special and general education teachers. While we filmed during and share best practices related to remote learning, each video’s content can be used to improve services to students with disabilities in any educational setting.
